Micah Andrew Fritz
4th grade teacher at Red Bridge Elementary.
This is my 5th year teaching, all in the incredible Center School District. My first 4 years were spent in first grade before I decided to make the jump to fourth. I am from a family of teachers and didn't always know I wanted to be an educator. After years of uncertainty of what I wanted to do, I decided to pursue my Bachelor's in Elementary Education at Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois. Upon graduation (2009), my wife Alexandra and I decided to move to Kansas City. In the fall of 2010 I was hired at Red Bridge Elementary to teach first grade. In November of the same year, my wife and I had our first child, Judah Chaim. In January of 2011 I began my Master's in Education and Innovation at Webster University in Kansas City, Missouri where I later received my degree in May of 2012. While working towards my Master's in March of 2012, Alex and I had our second child, Eleanor Mae. In the summer of 2013 I began my Specialist's degree in Elementary Administration at Northwest Missouri State University. In November of 2013, we had our third child Charles Loren. Upon completion of my Specialist's degree in the summer of 2014, I began preparing myself for the task of teaching fourth grade. My family and I make our home in the district as there truly is no better place to call home. I love the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and fantasy football.
